Google unveiled Assistant with Bard, an AI-powered assistant, during its Made by Google event where it introduced new Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2 hardware. This enhanced assistant utilizes generative AI to offer personalized assistance to users. It can help plan trips, locate information in your email inbox, and even create grocery lists.

Assistant with Bard will integrate with Google’s existing apps like Gmail and Docs to help users find and summarize information. Users can interact with the tool through text, voice, or images, and it will retain some of Assistant’s core features, such as sending text messages.

As an example, users can overlay Bard on top of a photo for social media posting and ask it to generate a caption. The tool can even suggest relevant hashtags for the image.

Google emphasizes that users have control over their individual privacy settings. Assistant with Bard will be rolled out to early testers soon and will become available on Android and iOS in the coming months.
